For over past 14 years, Trish has been teaching personal finance through her middle high school family and consumer sciences course, refining her curriculum over time and sharing it with fellow educators.  In fact, her Scope and Sequence Outline is among the educator resources featured on Your Money’s Best Friend.  When “Right on the Money,”­ a financial education program for families with young children, was introduced, she quickly seized the opportunity to bring financial education to a new audience.  “In our small community, money management skills are vital for families just to make ends meet.”  As a result of the program, parents report that their children are saving more and spending less, and that personal finance has become a frequent topic of family discussion.  As for what is next, Trish says, “I hope I can continue to lead the way.”
